Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, but also observes the rich African-American Culture. The Bicentennial will work our city partners to highlight all that is happening within the city with soul that is enriched with culture that celebrates the lives of African Americans. Juneteenth in The City of Soul is like no other. From celebrations, cook-outs, and educational events, there is always something to do to celebrate Juneteenth.
